Today's cricket matches on Exchange22

Exchange22 mirrors the international and domestic T20 schedule used by Indian broadcasters. On a typical busy day you'll see one or two T20 internationals, an IPL double-header during the season, plus a domestic T20 match in the evening window.

Time (IST)MatchVenueFormat
3:30 PMIndia A vs Bangladesh ALucknowT20
7:30 PMMumbai Indians vs Chennai Super KingsWankhedeIPL
10:30 PMAustralia vs EnglandMelbourneT20I

The Exchange22 app shows the same fixture list inside the Matches tab. Open the app, find today's date, and you'll see the contests grouped by match.

Heads up: contest entry closes 30 minutes before the official toss. Late entries are not allowed, even if a match is delayed by rain.

Contests you can still enter

For every fixture, Exchange22 opens four standard contest types. Each one has its own prize pool, its own entry fee, and its own strategy. Most new players start with practice contests and head-to-head rooms before moving to the mega leagues.

The four contest types

  • Practice contests: free entry, no real prizes — the place to test a new team.
  • Head-to-head rooms: 2-player contests where the higher team score takes the pot.
  • Small leagues: 3–25 players, prize pool split across the top three.
  • Mega leagues: hundreds or thousands of entries, with the top 10–25% paid out.

You can enter one team into multiple contests, or build up to 11 separate teams in a single mega league. Building multiple teams lets you hedge on captaincy and pick combinations the field is unlikely to share.

Team edits before the toss

The team builder on Exchange22 stays editable until 30 minutes before the toss. After that, the system locks probable XIs, pitch data and your captain pick. The most common reason people lose contests is leaving team edits until after the toss.

Edit checklist before locking

  1. Confirm the playing XI. Cross-check the probable XI on the team news page.
  2. Re-read the pitch report. A green top changes captaincy to fast bowlers.
  3. Check the toss call. If the toss goes against your side, swap captain and vice-captain.
  4. Save 6–8 credits. Use the saved credits on a death-over specialist.
  5. Lock at least 15 minutes early. Server load spikes near the deadline.
Exchange22 rule: if a player in your XI is ruled out before toss, the Exchange22 app auto-swaps them from the bench list. After toss, no swaps are allowed.

How live scoring works on Exchange22

Exchange22 pulls ball-by-ball data from official scoring feeds, so your team score updates within seconds of a real-life event. Captain points are doubled, vice-captain points are multiplied by 1.5, and every player on the field contributes based on the role they actually played — not the role they were picked in.

Point highlights

  • Run: 1 point per run, 4 bonus for a boundary, 6 bonus for a six.
  • Wicket: 25 points for bowlers, 8 for fielders, 12 for the keeper.
  • Economy: bonus points under 6 RPO for pace, under 5.5 for spin.
  • Strike rate: bonus points above 130 SR in T20s for batters.

Full point rules are inside the app under Help → Scoring. We also break down the rules on our fantasy cricket basics page.

Frequently asked questions

How do I see today's matches on Exchange22?

Open the Exchange22 app and tap the Matches tab. The default view shows today's fixtures in your local time zone (IST for Indian users).

What time do contests close on match day?

Exchange22 contests close 30 minutes before the scheduled toss. Rain delays don't extend the deadline.

Can I edit my team after the toss?

No. Once the toss is logged, all teams lock. If a player in your XI is ruled out before toss, the app auto-swaps them from your bench.

How many contests can I join per match?

You can join up to 25 contests per match on a single team, or build up to 11 different teams in a single mega-league contest.

Does the live score update during rain delays?

Yes, but the contest stays locked. If the match is officially abandoned, Exchange22 follows the contest rules: most contests refund entry fees, mega leagues usually declare based on the last available score.

What happens if my captain doesn't play?

If your captain is not in the playing XI, the captain arm passes to your vice-captain. No refund is issued.
